Design & Build
t|AQWO 2 isolates its precision disc transport and digital processing from the power supply in two matching enclosures. Its substantial chassis, top-loading mechanism and magnetic disc clamp provide a stable platform for CD and SACD playback, while the separate supply helps reduce electrical noise and interference.
A seven-inch touchscreen provides clear playback and configuration information from across the room. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and each unit is assembled and tested by Métronome Technologie’s technicians in France.
System Pairing
t|AQWO 2 was developed alongside c|AQWO 2 as Métronome’s reference digital front end. Their I²S connection carries high-resolution PCM and native DSD directly from the transport to the converter.
It can also feed other high-quality DACs through AES/EBU or S/PDIF. With the optional streaming module installed, t|AQWO 2 becomes a complete disc and network transport for a system built around an external D/A converter.
