Design & Build

DST concentrates Métronome’s disc-reading and digital-output expertise in a compact enclosure. Its transport mechanism, digital processing and internal linear power supply are mounted within a rigid steel and aluminium chassis designed to control vibration and electrical noise.

The 3.9-inch touchscreen provides clear access to playback functions and resampling settings. Its dimensions match DSS 2 and DSC Mini, allowing the three components to form a unified modular digital system. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and each unit is assembled and tested in France.

System Pairing

DST pairs naturally with DSC Mini, with I²S providing the broadest PCM and native DSD capability. It can also feed other high-quality D/A converters through AES/EBU or S/PDIF.

Together with DSS 2 and DSC Mini, DST adds physical CD playback to a compact system that keeps disc transport, network streaming and D/A conversion in separate optimized enclosures.
