Design & Build

Le DAC 3 advances Métronome’s Classica converter platform with an ESS ES9026PRO processor supported by proprietary clocking, power regulation and analogue output circuitry. Multiple toroidal transformers and independently regulated supply lines separate its digital, conversion and analogue sections.

Its substantial steel chassis and thick machined-aluminium front panel provide mechanical stability while matching Le Streamer and Le Player 4. The 3.9-inch display clearly shows the selected input and playback format. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and each unit is assembled and tested by Métronome Technologie’s technicians in France.

System Pairing

Le DAC 3 is designed to partner naturally with Le Streamer and Le Player 4, creating a modular Métronome system for network and disc playback. Its two I²S inputs allow both sources to remain connected while preserving high-resolution PCM and native DSD transmission.

USB, AES/EBU, S/PDIF and TOSLINK inputs accommodate music servers, computers, televisions and other digital sources. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs connect to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier. With the optional streaming module installed, Le DAC 3 can also serve as a complete network-connected digital source.
