Design & Build

DSC Mini brings Métronome’s conversion architecture to the compact Digital Sharing format without reducing input flexibility. Its ESS ES9026PRO processor is supported by Métronome-designed clocking, power regulation and analogue output circuitry.

The steel chassis and solid aluminium front panel match DSS 2 and DST. Its 3.5-inch display identifies the selected input and sampling frequency of the active signal. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and each converter is assembled and tested by Métronome Technologie’s technicians in France.

System Pairing

DSC Mini is the natural D/A converter for DSS 2 and DST. Its I²S input accepts high-resolution PCM and native DSD from the matching transports, while AES/EBU and S/PDIF provide broad compatibility with other digital sources.

The USB input also allows direct connection to a computer or dedicated music server such as DSAS. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs connect to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier.
