Design & Build

Le Player 4 uses Métronome’s signature top-loading architecture, with a sliding cover and magnetic clamp securing the disc directly to the mechanism. Its substantial steel chassis and thick machined-aluminium front panel provide a stable mechanical foundation, while dedicated power regulation supports the transport, clock and digital-output stages.

By omitting an internal D/A converter, Le Player 4 concentrates its design entirely on accurate disc reading and the delivery of a stable digital signal. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and each unit is assembled and tested by Métronome Technologie’s technicians in France.

System Pairing

Le Player 4 is the matching CD transport for Le DAC 3. I²S provides the widest format capability, while AES/EBU and S/PDIF ensure compatibility with a broad range of D/A converters.

The optional streaming module allows Le Player 4 to handle both physical discs and network music, creating a versatile digital transport while preserving the flexibility and performance advantages of an external converter.
