Design & Build
Le Player 4+ combines Métronome’s precision top-loading CD mechanism with its Classica D/A conversion platform. Its ESS ES9026PRO processor is supported by proprietary clocking, power regulation and analogue output circuitry, allowing CDs and external digital sources to benefit from the same conversion architecture.
The substantial steel chassis and thick machined-aluminium front panel provide mechanical stability, while the sliding top cover and magnetic clamp secure each disc directly to the transport mechanism. Electronic boards are hand-soldered, and every unit is assembled and tested by Métronome Technologie’s technicians in France.
System Pairing
Le Player 4+ can serve as the primary digital source in a high-end system, playing CDs and converting external components connected through USB, S/PDIF, AES/EBU or TOSLINK. Its balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs connect to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier.
With the optional streaming module installed, Le Player 4+ also provides access to local network libraries, USB storage and major online music services, creating a complete disc, DAC and streaming solution in one chassis.
