Design & Build

The standard SPs-2.7 is built from eight pure-silver conductor cores arranged within a braided shield. Each core contains eleven strands, producing a total of 88 individual pure-silver strands within each cable.

Kondo applies its long-developed knowledge of silver structure, processing, conductor direction and ageing to the completed cable. The conductor arrangement is designed to combine low-frequency foundation with natural tonal expression and low midrange coloration.

The SPs-2.7 Dual places two complete SPs-2.7 cables in parallel for each channel, doubling the conductor complement while retaining the same fundamental materials and construction.

The SPs-2.7 Jumper uses the same pure-silver speaker cable to replace the metal linking plates normally installed between the terminals of bi-wireable loudspeakers.

System Pairing

The standard SPs-2.7 is suitable for connecting a stereo amplifier or pair of monoblock amplifiers to conventional single-wire loudspeakers. Original Kondo spade or banana terminations can be selected according to the amplifier and loudspeaker binding posts.

SPs-2.7 Dual is intended for systems where the additional parallel conductor capacity is preferred. Each channel uses two complete SPs-2.7 cable runs working together as one speaker-cable connection.

The matching SPs-2.7 Jumper set is designed for loudspeakers with separate high- and low-frequency binding posts. The four supplied 20 cm jumpers allow the primary SPs-2.7 cable to feed either terminal pair while maintaining consistent pure-silver wiring between the crossover inputs.
